Mom, Qui,Rave, and mallets

The TRILLIUM waits patiently in the dark damp embrace of earth for seven years before its first bloom. Returning year after year, it brings forth its fragile beauty to the world. Three within three within three its leaves and petals dance in the forest breeze. And to the lily family it belongs, the flower of forgiveness.

From the black and ancient arms of Africa comes the MARIMBA ENSEMBLE. The hypnotic rhythms of Zimbabwe vibrate and buzz with life, concealing one beat within another, two and three melodies overlaid. Like a seed it was born on the wind, taking root around the world. For many years we have given our life to this music--raising our children and living simply on the land with these songs singing in our minds. Weaving through our life and that of our extended musical family, it has gifted us with meaning and beauty. We, in turn, offer our interpretation humbly to you.
